Veteran manager-producer Steven Siebert heads
up Lighthouse Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based personal
management company representing actors, writers and directors.
For over 17 years, Lighthouse clients and projects have enjoyed
both box office success and critical acclaim in film, television
and theater.
At the 1994 Sundance Fest, Lighthouse Entertainment
presented the film Fun - playwright James Bosley's
screen adaptation of his stageplay of the same title. Both
Alicia Witt and Renee Humphrey received special Sundance Jury
recognition for their performances in the film which also
received several Independent Spirit Award nominations. In
addition, Siebert produced The Rookie starring Clint
Eastwood and Gridlock'd.
Siebert first met director-client Finn Taylor
after reading an early script for Dream With The Fishes
and quickly put him together with actor-client David Arquette.
Dream With The Fishes, directed by Taylor and starring
Arquette and Brad Hunt (Cherish) became a hit at Sundance.
Says Siebert: "When we first connected, I recognized
right away that Finn had a wealth of stories to tell. He's
destined to emerge as one of the most talented filmmakers
of his generation."
Siebert's extensive relationships with talent
have paid off for the filmmakers he has worked with. Beginning
with the film Gridlock'd (Sundance 1997) producer Siebert
was instrumental in packaging Tim Roth and Thandie Newton
and capitalizing on their onscreen chemistry. When Cherish
began to come together, Siebert called upon his relationship
with actor-filmmaker Tim Blake Nelson who directed client
Julia Stiles in O and David Arquette in the upcoming
Holocaust drama The Grey Zone. Steven got the Cherish
script to unlikely leading man Nelson who really brought the
role of 'Daly' to life opposite Robin Tunney.
Next, Siebert acts as producers rep on
several future films including A Foreign Affair starring
David Arquette and Tim Blake Nelson as two backwoods brothers
on an actual romance tour of Russia as well as a filmed adaptation
of John Steinbeck's THE PEARL starring Richard Harris and
Lukas Haas and shot on location throughout Mexico. Siebert
is also packaging A GOOD WOMAN adapted from Oscar Wilde's
play LADY WINDERMARE'S FAN to be directed by Suri Krishnama
(A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE starring Albert Finney).
